Fire hose reel systems include the pumps, pipes, water supply and hose reels themselves. The system must be located strategically in a building, so as to ensure maximum area coverage of water to combat any fires.

The manual system is activated by opening a valve, which allows water to flow through the hose. Pressure loss activates the pump to ensure adequate water flow and pressure.

The hose reel systems provide a water jet that reaches to more than 10 metres starting from the nozzle.
